“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), (fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs), but be transformed (changed) by the (entire) renewal of your mind (by its new ideals and its new attitude). Romans 12:2 (Amplified version)

Renewing my mind what does that look like when my body feels broken? I will tell you. I am facing another surgery on the 24th. Despite the disasters that I have had I am thinking positive. I know that despite what could happen, doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen. I could live in what I call the doom mind set where everything will go wrong and nothing ever goes right. The doctors just like to torture me and I will be worse than I was before. Is that necessarily the truth? No, it isn’t. You see, I believe those negative monsters in my head are just a device to keep me from doing what my purpose is. I am supposed to be teaching people how to breathe. When I first heard God tell me I am supposed to teach people what it means to breathe I thought “What, are you serious? Do you really think they need to know how to do something that they do without even thinking about it?” The answer is yes, I don’t think that they thought has hit about how important breathing is, we know how important the brain is, the heart is, and how important are legs and arms are, but not oxygen and the parts that make the brain, arms, legs, stomach, ears, eyes, and things work. There is a reason God breathed into the nostrils of man to get his body working. Read Genesis chapter 2: 7 “Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being.” God mentions “the breathe of life” 40 times in the bible according to my accordance. Doesn’t that tell you how important it is? Another verse that illustrates this is in Revelation 11:11 “After three and a half days, by God’s gift the breathe of life again entered into them, and they rose up on their feet, and a great dread and terror fell on those who watched them.” The process of taking air into our bodies so that it can function, especially when we need to fight the mind demons that plaque your mind and defeat you is important. Every single part of your body moves and lives because of “The Breathe of Life”, sadly, I had to learn this with my subglottic stenosis which causes me not to take in healthy oxygen. Thank you God that He has guided me to men who are able to keep me taking in “Breathe Of Life” into my body so that I can keep walking, eating, praying, laughing, crying, and thinking. Before I had started having my throat issues (subglottic stenosis) I lived as though breathing was just something I did. I never considered it a gift, a privilege, something that made all the other parts of my body function. Now that I have issues, I see the vital importance of this one small ability that is located on our nose and all the way down to our chest. Before it even reaches the lungs, it goes through so many different tubes and areas in order for us to breathe life. One of these days after I have done some studying and talking with my doctors I will share how we get oxygen into the different parts of the body and what happens when those parts do not get it. Actually it is quite simple, I do not need to explain it to you, we become dust, we are dead, we do not move, talk, sing, laugh, cry, think, or produce fruit for God and ourselves. We are just dust that withers and blows away. How often do you stop during the day and thank God for the Breathe Of Life?
