The brain is a wonderful organ. It starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get into the office.

brain

A book of short essays that blew me away with all the scientific facts about fish oil and sugar and my eyes are open. First, Japan has the lowest rate of depression and Bi-polar issues and they consume a mass amount of fish more than we do as Americans. They don’t take fish pills, they eat the actual fish.

And the real shocker was the amount of sugar we consume 156 pounds a year. That means we eat 27.5 teaspoons of sugar a day. No wonder our brains are in a fog and we are depressed. Sugar is hidden in things and we don’t even realize it. In order for things to be fat free guess what they load it up with sugar because sugar is fat free. Yuck! So we are trading fat for sugar, does that sound right? These are just some examples of the essays and information that I found while reading this book. If you want to have your mind awaken to the fact that we as Americans eat too much of the fun foods and we need to start eating more of the not so much fun foods then this is the book.
