I got a bit side tracked with my latest bout of inflammation, so I haven’t written much about the gluten summit I was privileged to be a part of. As I am writing this I am sitting in the infusion clinic receiving my rituximab treatment that helps my body with dealing with the inflammation in my body.

Deanna Minich was one of the speakers who spoke at the Summit. Everything she said resonated within and I am so deeply intrigued with how she views food and how we eat. There were a lot of great speakers, but Mnich was one of my favorites along with Dr. Daniel Amen, and a few others.

Her areas of interest include:  Psychology of eating and whole life nourishment. The same interests that I have, so you can see why  my interest was piqued and the best part is I learned a lot by listening to her insight.

“You’re at this junction where you have to decide what’s important for you. Is it being there for your grandchildren? Is it being there and having good quality of life? Or is it going down the road of becoming more and more debilitated?”

I just found out that Deanna Minich will be one of the speakers of the 21 days Global Health Event that is being offered for free and I am excited, because this will give me an opportunity for more learning and diving deeper into my theme for 2014 which is focusing on nourish my body in all manners, including food, physical and mental health, and relationships. I have come a long way, but I know I have a long way to go.
