Brassica is a class of super food vegetables of Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Kale, and Brussel Sprouts and many other vegetables. I was first told about the Brassica vegetables or otherwise known as Crucifix vegetables when I saw my nutritionist at the beginning of my healing journey with Vasculitis. She gave me a big list of them and she told me I should eat one these a day. I have to admit that I haven’t done that much, but I hope to get back into the eating game soon. I do enjoy broccoli and cabbage. “Brassica” by Laura B. Russel is an excellent tutorial and cookbook on how to store, prepare, and cook these amazing super foods and boiling is not the only method you can use to cook them. This book is full of amazing ideas and tips. I recommend reading this book if eating a healthy diet is new to you or if you are bored just eating these vegetables the same old way over and over again.
