“The Tapping Solution for Weight Loss” written by Jessica Ortner jumped into my life just after I made the decision to stop reading diet books. This book is not a diet book. It doesn’t tell you how to eat, what to eat, or even that you have to deprive yourself of food. This book deals with the emotions and changing your mind set about weight. I love the fact that Ortner deals with the emotions of one’s life and that being the root cause of weight gain.

Tapping is based on EFT practices where you karate chop along your eyebrow, side of eye, under eye, under nose, chin, collarbone, under arm, and head in order to help you change the pattern of thoughts and emotions. I have to admit that I was skeptical of this. It seemed too weird. Even with my skepticism I tapped away. I used the suggestions in Ortner’s book. I know that I have emotional issues with my eating and that is the downfall of my weight. So I am always interested when a book has solutions or insights into this topic.
