Friendship and Voodoo Doughnuts
Relationships I value a lot. My friendship with Summer and Karen from Exclaim Media has sustained me through many difficult moments. I love sitting and talking with these lovely ladies. The laughter and the conversation are always enjoyable. So I was excited when on Thursday they were coming to Vancouver to pick me up so that we could all experience Voodoo Doughnuts together. I have been before, but that was 5 years ago. It was high time to create new memories of this place. I’m so glad that I did.
Voodoo Doughnuts creates delicious doughnuts that would make mouths water in any region of the great USA. They even have Vegan doughnuts and this is what my friend Karen had. There was a dusting of orange sugar and it was delicious. Yes, we are the type of friends that share their doughnuts with each other.
Karen had the vegan doughnut with orange sugar sprinkles.
Summer had the peach fritter.
I had the Lavender Marion berry jelly doughnut. All of them were yummy.
Even if Summer’s was as big as her head. Sharing is always a must.
Not only did we try out Voodoo doughnuts we also tried out a new coffee place. Summer and Karen are coffee experts. I’m not, I rarely drink the stuff. But when you have a doughnut you need coffee right? Across from Voodoo is a great coffee place called Caffe Vita. I love that they serve you coffee on silver platters. How classy is that?
I love that Summer, Karen, and I could enjoy our delights outside in the alley way under the sunshine and watch the happenings on the streets of Portland.
Portland though it is weird. It has a quaint way of life. I am so glad that I could experience it again.
