Amazing how receiving flowers can brighten someone’s day. My neighbor brought me some gorgeous red and yellow mums. He won them and he thought that I would enjoy them.

The last couple of weeks, actually if I were to be honest the last few months have been tough for me. I’m struggling. With the disappointment of not getting my trach out in April and in July I have been feeling rather despondent. I’ve been struggling with finding my hope and my purpose.

The last couple of weeks I have been sick. That means that I have had to do extra trach and stoma care. I also have not been having my caregiver over because I was ill and didn’t want to get her and her daughter sick. Thankfully I am starting to feel a bit better in the mucus department.

Since I am feeling let down and such I have made a decision to pursue counseling again. I haven’t been in a year. I think it is time to do this again. Also I have signed up for two events in October. One is going a month without processed foods through Eating Rules. The other is a blogging summit that I signed up for that starts on October 17th. I’m excited about the blogging because my goal is to create a safe haven for those of us with stoma issues and need the emotional and spiritual support as we meander through life.
