stir

I was given an opportunity to read a great cookbook and autobiography called “Stir” by Jessica Fechtor. I felt a kinship with the author, because like her I was thrown into the web of illness, recovery, and remission at an early age. I was 32 years old when I began showing the symptoms of Wegener’s and Rheumatoid arthritis. I enjoyed the openness of Fechtor’s journey and the recipes she shared that brought her comfort and healing. I also love that she is now healthier and better for the illness she had. I found this book encouraging, as I begin my long haul to who I am and capable of being now. I love that she has what she wanted, a family, and got back to the things that she loves the most in her life. Thanks for writing and sharing your story. I hope that those of us who are on the same type of journey will consider reading this book and be encouraged.
