I love Joyce Meyer. Every day at 4 AM here in the Pacific Northwest she comes on. Yes, I get up and watch her program. One of the choices I made during my journey through illness is giving my brain something positive and edifying to think about. I do that by listening to speakers who edify. I listen to uplifting and fun worship music. I read books that inspire, encourage, and edify me.

In Overload by Joyce Meyer that is exactly what it does. It edifies and inspires me to keep moving forward with my walk with Jesus and my health.

Here are some key things that I took from Meyer’s book:

  • Exercise elevates your mood. It doesn’t only keep your body strong, it also keeps your mind strong.
  • In our life we get to choose how we will be. You choose whether or not you will be angry, bitter, and resentful while facing a challenge or if you will trust, dance, or enjoy life.
  • Life is a journey, so why don’t we enjoy the steps. Both the happy and the challenges in our lives. We all have so much to be thankful.
  • Being reactive to everything in your life is exhausting. It keeps you in a perpetual bad mood. That is no fun for you or the people who are around you. It is important to be active, but not reactive.
  • Hope conquers everything. So choose it when the trials come.
  • Keep on trucking through all the challenges and obstacles in your life.

In exchange for my honest review I was given a free E-book of Joyce Meyer’s Overload by Netgalley. My opinions are my own
