In exchange for my honest review I was given a free copy of Karen Salmansohn’s book Open When… Letters to lift your spirits by Blogging For Books. The opinions I express are my own, I was in no way influenced.

I’ve been hit with the inspiration bug from a tiny book called Open When… Letters to lift your spirits by Karen Salmansohn. Salmansohn’s book is beautifully illustrated. Each page is shaped like a greeting card envelope. Each envelopes lip has a message saying open when… You open up the envelope to a gorgeous picture and a message that uplift your spirit.

This would be a perfect gift for yourself or anyone you want to encourage. Personally, I think this would be an awesome gift for any chronically ill family member or friend who needs inspiration and hope in their life. There are 12 envelopes that will bring hope and a smile to their lives. It’s small enough to be a perfect gift for someone who is in a hospital room. The book is 5 by 7.

Hope is something that I need in my daily lift, with each envelope having a special message for a specific reason, such as, calm, positivity, confidence, and memories. As someone who has a chronic illness hope is one of the things that has helped me on my journey. The fruits of the spirit in Galatians 5 is an important tool for me to remember daily as I face my pain, trach problems, port care, achy joints, and issues that seem to be constant in my life. I’m grateful for the gems, such as Salmansohn’s book that keep me going and remind me of who I am in Jesus.
