In exchange for my honest review of Eugene Peterson’s Drawn In Bible Study Ruth I was given a free copy from Tynsdale. The opinions I express are my own and were in no way influenced.

The book of Ruth is one of my favorite stories in the Bible. Ruth shows loyalty, even traveling with her bitter mother in law into a land she did not know because she loved her. I admire that. Eugene Peterson’s coloring bible study of Ruth takes you on the journey of Ruth and how her story is our story. Eugene Peterson is the translator of the Message Bible. With the Message Bible translation and the beautifully drawn pictures to color makes this Bible study an interactive study for women and men who want to connect with God. AS someone who has a chronic illness and who uses coloring as a way to meditate this is an awesome study to do.

Here are some things that I love about this coloring book:

  • Peterson, at the end of each chapter asks some questions to help you with meditating on God’s word.
  • The pictures you color are gorgeous and artfully drawn so you can create and understand the scene in each chapter of Ruth you read.
  • They also have a section to help you start your own Drawn In Bible Study Group. Conversation is important when we study God’s word too.
  • There are 2 other Drawn In Books available too, Mary and Esther.

It is important to study God’s word and Drawn in by Eugene Peterson is a great way of studying. I enjoy coloring. I find it helps me meditate, relax, and I enjoy it.
