In exchange for my honest review of Vibrant India by Chitra Agrawal I was given a free copy by Blogging for Books. The opinions I express are my own and were in no way influenced.

Recently I started researching vegetarian recipes, because I will be embarking on a new adventure in my eating habits. I’m eating 4 vegetarian meals a week for my health. I also need meat for my low B12 too, but I also know that vegetarian is a good eating plan too. I was excited when I received Vibrant India by Chitra Agrawal in my mailbox. When I saw it available I wasn’t exactly sure what kind of cookbook I would be getting. I was thrilled that it was a vegetarian inspired cookbook.

I would like to say that this book has some awesome photographs in it. And the information that I found the most intriguing was the section on roasting and tempering spices. I’ve never heard of doing this step in cooking. Now I find myself doing this more often to bring out the flavors of the spices that I use in my cooking.

I recommend this cookbook to anyone who is interested in Indian cuisine and also vegetarian cuisine.
