In exchange for my review I was given a free copy of “Beloved Hope” by Tracie Peterson by Bethany House. The opinions I express are my own and were in no way influenced.

In Tracie Peterson’s book Beloved Hope she writes about my neck of the woods, Clark County Washington, Fort Vancouver, and Oregon City Oregon. This is one of the reasons I was excited about reading her novel. I love history. In this novel she writes about the massacre that happened at the Whitman Mission by the Indians and the trial that happened. This time the story is told through what the women thru. The trauma, journey to forgiveness, and the healing process take the reader on a roller coaster ride through the different characters.

I had a hard time putting this book down because of the well developed characters, the emotions that each person went thru and the actual writing style. Peterson has a way with descriptive words and allowing her readers to step into the story world she creates and feel the story both emotionally and physically. I love stories like this.

I look forward to reading more of Tracie Peterson’s novels. This book will be loved by anyone who enjoys reading historical fiction. This will not disappoint you.
