In exchange for my review of Soar! by T.D. Jakes I was given a free copy by Faith Words. The opinions I express are my own and I was not influenced.

Soar! by T.D. Jakes caused me to remember a period in my life where I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Life happened, my companion at the time passed away, then my dad, then I met someone who soaked up all my energy.
My friend and I had a desire to make our home town better, health and wellness wise. We dreamed big, we both started business school so that we were successful, she finished and I did not. The first hit happened, as I grieved my losses, and boy did I have a bad mind set at that time. Looking back, it was a blessing in disguise that we didn’t start our business then.
While reading I felt a rekindling of a dream that I thought had died. It didn’t. I wish Soar! was available ten years ago. I took away several points that Jakes makes. One that stuck out was an entrepreneur needs, supporters, advisors, and mentors. Back then I didn’t have those things, and now I am better equipped to walk through whatever life throws at me.
The dream has changed and I am passing this book along to a few of my friends. Its important to be a life time learner, researcher, and looking at things from all angles. Soar! gives you the tools to do just that.
