When I think of the word one, I think about being by myself, to be one individual, or solitatry. I don’t think of a team, but yet that is how God sees us. We, as Christians are one body focus on doing team work for God’s plan. Collaberation gets all of us to where God wants his church to be. In Greg HOlder’s book The Genius of one he explains what being one church. The first step is to realize that we are a community and we are to be God’s hands, feet, brain, arms, and every single body part. We are to work together to accomplish God’s plan of letting everyone know that he loves them and he is all we need. A lot of gunk gets in the way of God’s plan, me, you, and everyone. I know I have my own opinion and have a hard time listening and working in a team, collberating on how to reach the goals of the collective one.

Holder’s book is deep, and gives some insightful wisdom to all of us on how to connect and be Jesus’ one.

Anyone working in a ministry, church, or want to be a better member of their congregation would benefit from reading this book.
