Here is a fact about myself that not many realize about me. I cannot smell. The reason I cannot smell is due to my trach tube. The trach tube cuts off my nose from working, so my nose and all that it does is not working. Every so often I can smell and it is usually something disgusting like rancid garbage or when I drove by the dump in my hometown there rancid smell. It makes me want to barf. That being said, I have been using essential oils for long time and even though I cannot smell them I still get benefit and enjoyment out of them, plus my caregiver and those who walk into my home get the nice smell too.
In the October Bella Skin box that a friend has gifted me with there was a set of products from Me Time Botanicals one of the items was a roll on essential oil product called Breathe. I use a DoTerra version of breathe so I was curious how they rank against each other. The DoTerra Version is not a roll on, I kind of like the roll on version and I have been rolling it on my chest every night before I go to sleep to help me relax and be calm before I go to sleep. Due to my breathing issues and having a trach tube I do not sleep that well so anything that aids in that is something I want to try. I cannot smell the oils, but I do feel the effects of it calming me enough that I am able to get some sleep. From what my caregiver and some others have said it smells nice too. I am glad that I tried this roll on, but I am not sure it will be a product that I will continue to buy since I do like DoTerra’s version a bit better. I am still glad I received it to try.
Another product from Me Time Botanicals that I received was their lip balm. I love this balm. I got three of them and it feels so nice on my lips. It is made from natural ingredients. I have put one in my purse, one in my basket by my bed, and one I gave to someone. I really love the silky feel of the balm and how it keeps my lips moist and hydrated longer than the chap sticks you get in the store. All in all I have enjoyed using all four of these products and the lip balm is one I will continue to buy after I have used up the ones I have.
