I just started caring about my skin care routine recently and so I was intrigued when I saw Soon Strawberry Lip Masks in my box from Bella Skin Subscription box. I have only heard of a face mask, but a lip mask was foreign and new to me. My caregiver who is a big skin care person had not heard of lip masks either.

Here is my take on using them: I found them annoying. Because they did not stay on and I could not move my head to read a book or type or do anything. What is the point of having a mask on if you could not move your head for 15 minutes? Yes, the mask made my lips softer so does lip balm and I could not truly see a difference between the two. There might be a reason for a lip mask I just cannot fathom what that would be.

Despite my misgivings I did enjoy the process. I had a good laugh at myself with the big red lips on my face. It reminded me of those lip shaped candies we ate as kids. I just wish they would have not slipped so easily. I gave the 4 remaining ones I had to my caregiver and her daughters to try. They do face masks every week as a time for them to connect and do something together. I knew I would not be doing lip masks again and wanted to bless someone else with the experience. Just because I did not find benefit with the lip mask does not take away that Soon’s Face Masks are not beneficial. They are a wonderful Korean company, and I am sure these lip masks would benefit someone else just not me.
