I am still healing from my third surgery in the last month on my trachea and lungs, so finding joy in my life seems like a far fetched thing. I am happy to say that I enjoyed reading Mattie James book Everyday Magic. The concept in this book is that you do not have to be everything or do everything to have joy in your life. You live and do and read and create and have your home be what you love. What a concept right. I grew up with hoarders so having a pretty home is not something I ever say or aspire to have. Now that I am older, almost 50 I would love to have a calm, pretty, and peaceful home that is full of the things and people that I love. It is slowly becomeing that. I am also doing many of the suggestions that James recommends in this book when it concerns self-care and health matters. This is a great book when you do not know where to begin and how to get where you want to be. It is simple, well written, full of humor and straight talk and not fluff. I love books like that.
