My entire life I have been disabled in some form or another. When I was a freshman in high school I had my Achilles tendons stretched and I had casts on both legs for half a year. My legs and feet have always been affected by this including now. Reading Lucky Girl by Scout Baggett uplifted my heart and soul with her attitude and appreciation for life and her disability that she uses. She runs for the paraolympics. This young woman is following her heart and dreams as she takes each stop.
This is a great book for any young person, and even for us old folks to read to be encouraged to run our race despite being disabled.
