One of the ways I cope with living with chronic illness is getting lost inside a good book. This last week has been rough, several doctor appointments and getting a CT scan and starting Prednisone. By Thursday I was on the verge of collapse. Thursday afternoon, in my mailbox, I received a book that I won on Goodreads. “The Mating Game” by Lana Ferguson. Thursday night, I started reading and by Friday night I finished it. I devoured it. This book is almost 400 pages long. Ferguson’s writing style is simple but graceful. I saw her passion in the story she was weaving. I appreciate good writing.
If you, like me, use reading as a coping skill for pain then this novel is a good choice. I am thankful I had the opportunity to dive into this novel.

I won a copy from Berkley Romance on Good Reads. The opinions I express are my own and I was not influenced.
