Part of living with a chronic condition is learning to live with pain. One of the ways I deal with pain that won’t allow me to sleep is by getting lost in a good novel. Most recent novel is by author Hannah Brohm called “Love and Other Brain Experiments”.  The main character is Francis who is a PH.D in a learning school. She broke up with another PH.D guy five years ago and he and his fiance are part of the summer school program that she needs to be in. She therefore talks to another PH.D dude that hurt her before that was a science partner in her research into pretending to be her boyfriend and the hilarious dysfunction goes from there. I got hooked on the story and I forgot about my pain for hours. I needed that. All the characters were relatable and I felt like I could be friends or related to them.

If a funny story about PH.D falling out of love and living their lives sounds good to you then this is a good choice. I recommend it.
