Book Review: My Gift

I love reading children’s books. The best part is giving them to children after I am done. I love the artwork and the simple story.

“My Gift” by Raluca Sirbu is one of those stories. It’s a charming story about how a treasure that was passed down that used storytelling to save a kingdom from a King who didn’t allow stories. The illustrations are beautiful. I appreciate the sentiment, courage, and bravery of the little girl. The message of the story for me is no matter how oppressive a King, Queen, Ruler is, you still have that space in your spirit and heart to do what is correct and tell your story.

I recommend this children’s book to encourage them to be brave.
